THE 3 GATES OF THE HANYANGDOSEONG: SEOUL CITY WALL
Seoul City Wall Hanyang, the capital of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910), is the old name of Seoul. The Hanyangdoseong Seoul City Wall was built along the four mountains surrounding Hanyang with 4 main gates (Heunginjimun, Donuimun, Sungnyemun and Sukjeongmun) and 4 sub-gates (Hyehwamun, Souimun, Gwanghuimun and Changuimun). Due to the beautiful views it offers and the numerous cultural heritage sites along the wall, Hanyangdoseong is a favored walking tour destination. Information on the different walking trails and nearby attractions is available on the website.
